Význam spojení dvou osminových not (případně šestnátinových)

 

 Měl jsem otázečku k notám u tohoto videa a autorka videa mi odpověděla:

You have these double notes: G , A and H. And they are connected by line. What is the purpose of the connection? Is it the continuation, like it's a legato? Because what I hear in the 2nd measure - you play all three notes (A, G-G where G and G are connected by the line) as legato. Or is that just my wrong interpretation and the point is that this is a convenient way of saying that the G notes are 8th notes and because they all are on the same line they are connected together? It seems to me that the lines are telling me the length of the notes and if they are in the same level or slope.

I think the line you are referring is the line that connects two 8th notes. When two 8 notes are played within one beat, they are combined together. It does NOT indicate that they need to be played legato. It's just the way the Western notation works. So you just need to play those notes as the 8th note's length. Myslím, že linka, kterou máte na mysli, je linka, která spojuje dvě osminové noty. Když jsou zahrány dvě 8 noty v rámci jedné doby, jsou spojeny dohromady. Neznamená to, že je třeba hrát legato. Je to prostě způsob, jakým funguje západní notace. Takže stačí zahrát tyto tóny jako délku 8. tónu.
