Hello <the name>,
Thank you so much for your kind message — I’m really happy the exercises are helping you 😊
And happy new year to you too!
About the glue: yes, I use cyanoacrylate (the hard type of super glue). It’s the one that bonds quickly and becomes rigid once it’s dry. The flexible types usually don’t hold well enough for nails, especially if you’re repairing them often.
That said, it’s important to use very small amounts and only as a temporary repair. If you find yourself gluing nails constantly, it’s usually a sign that they need a bit of rest or reinforcement rather than repeated fixing — otherwise they can become more fragile over time.
Adding a thin natural nail layer on top, as you’re doing, is a common solution, just be careful not to build too much thickness. Light filing and keeping the surface smooth helps a lot.
Take it gently — nail issues are frustrating, but they’re part of the guitarist’s life 😉
Wishing you a healthy and musical start to the year.
Warm regards,
Merce
