The Difference Between Parallel Minor and Relative Minor
Let's take C major as the given key, the parallel minor is C minor, because they share the same tonic, but have different key signatures or tonalities. That's what parallel key relationship entails.
Still in C major, the relative minor is A minor, because they share the same key signature, but have different tonic notes and tonalities. That is exactly what we mean by "relative minor".
So, C major and C minor are parallel Keys. C major and A minor are relative keys. Also note that the parallel and relative minors, in this context, are in their natural forms, not harmonic or melodic.
Possible chord progression = C - Cm - C Am
